It is said that it appeared formally in 2010 on the TV Tropes page, in an article that explained that the phrase was previously accompanied by the execution of the martial art.
From there, the phrase (both in Spanish and English) and the image began to be used in response to arguments that were given in forums and social networks.
Likewise, it was also used in videos and remixes of all kinds found on YouTube, becoming one of the best known and most loved phrases in anime and manga.
