Born in the city of Temuco in 1965, she has written several books on interpersonal relationships and self-help.
However, it was not until well into his youth that he entered the Diego Portales University in Santiago de Chile to study Psychology. In the beginning, he would dedicate his working time to carrying out consultations while alternating them with studies in different schools and hospitals. This experience would help him to produce the books he now boasts.
To this day, he directs the CáncerVida Foundation, focused especially on patients with lung and pancreas cancer. She also participates in various television and radio programs as well as writing for famous print media.
Among her awards are the 2007 Women of the Year award, awarded by the newspaper El observaador, the Atrevidas 2010 award from Argentina and she has been ranked among the 100 most influential women in Chile in 2006, 2007 and 2010.

Long Live the Difference !, 2005
The first of his books. In it you will understand, through an investigation carried out by the author, that you can go beyond the male and female genders.
Men can contain characteristics of women and vice versa, something that is influenced by pressures imposed by society or by mutual agreement between the genders.
The objective of the reading is none other than to be able to coexist between men and women in a much more ordinary and harmonious way.
With Coco on the couch - with Coco Legrand -, 2007
Throughout 99 pages you will be able to read a humorous and pleasant conversation between the authors on different sociological and psychological topics.
The objective here is to improve as human persons while we are learning.
I don't want to grow up, 2009
Deep analysis and reflection on the different stages of a young person's life - from childhood to adolescence.
If you are not clear about some adolescent behaviors, do not hesitate to read this book, you will be able to clarify the reason for certain behaviors.
Lessons in seduction, 2010
Who has not heard the expression "find your better half"? In a total of 12 lessons, the exercise of knowing and taking care of yourself will be proposed to you, demystifying that idea of having to share life with someone.
Although that yes, it does not undo it either, since among its pages there are tips for all situations.
Without going any further, here is a fragment of the book:
Welcome pain, 2012
Book whose central axis is the search for happiness. The keys?
The connection with the present, the encounter with the illusion and the meaning of what we do, in addition to the attempt to change behaviors and dynamics of our life.
Pilar will push us with this reading to look, touch and know the pain, finally, to get rid of it more easily and thus live a little more freely.
She herself exposes the following reflection in her book:
I don't want to grow old 2014
In I do not want to grow old, Pilar Sordo is dedicated to analyzing the tasks of daily life from a vision of joy and enjoyment, eradicating that fear of growing up.
You will learn to embrace life and take advantage of the moments it offers us in order to live in the fullest possible way, always looking back: “the old that we will be tomorrow or that we are today will depend or depend on the young person and the adult who we went yesterday ”.
Work, life as a couple, family and even death are the topics you can read about in this book.
Deaf Ears, 2016
The latest and most recent of Pilar Sordo's books. Thanks to the author's own experience, you will learn to eliminate the tensions and stress that are characteristic of modern life.
The keys to a successful fight against this is based on the arguments of the connection with our body, the order of priorities and turning a deaf ear to the outside in order to listen to what our interior tells us.
