A " comfortable " subject is one who is a lover of comfort and gifts. This qualifying adjective is mostly used in Mexico and Puerto Rico, being little heard in the rest of the Spanish-speaking countries.
Although we point out that it is a very specific localism, it is recognized by the Royal Spanish Academy, which defines with the adjective "joker" or "joker" a person who is passionate about comfort.

This term is not literally applied. That is, it is not only about people who are looking for a comfortable sofa to rest, but rather it applies to those who are lazy or do a job or task with the least possible effort. In other words, those that strictly apply "the law of least effort."
A more oriented definition in this sense is given by the Dictionary of Mexicanisms (see references), which points to "wild card" as the person who is very friendly to his own comfort. It is the same as the colloquial adjective «comodiment», more widely used in the rest of Latin America or even Spain.
In all cases, the use of "wild card" or "wild card" is used in colloquial or vulgar language, being practically impossible to find it in academic texts, although it is likely to be read in journalistic media.
