The beige color has interesting characteristics, ranging from its meaning when used to the elements that intervene in its composition. The word beige is French and was initially used to denote the coloring of wool when it has not been dyed.
It is a natural color or also called raw, because it is the color that wool presents when it has not been subjected to any treatment process.
Main characteristics of the beige color
Beige is one of the so-called neutral colors due to its low saturation and low proportion of its components.
It is often used for backgrounds in order to increase the ability to focus on what is being done and not on distractors.
There are many variations of the beige tone, depending on the mixes that are made: light beige, in which white predominates; brown beige, has a higher proportion of brown; and natural beige, when it is closer to the original shade of raw wool.
It is an achromatic color, but it can present different shades. For example, it has been called sand, wheat, parchment, among others.
Meaning
Because it is a neutral color, it transmits calm, calm, serenity; It is a tone that invites conversation due to its relaxing effect. Its meaning is associated with luxury, the ostentatious and expensive.
In decoration of environments it is used to break the monotony of pure white and its extreme brightness.
Using beige adds an element of warmth and the feeling of being a cozy environment. Being a light color, it admits a multitude of combinations.
When a person wears beige they want not to attract excessive attention; on the contrary it transmits elegance, class, sobriety. It is the most conservative clothing color, but more appropriate to relate to efficiency.
Modernly, wedding dress designers stopped using traditional pure white and opened the spectrum of choice by incorporating light beige in their creations, to highlight delicacy and distinction.
Despite its positive qualities, beige has been considered a routine, boring, monotonous color that does not convey any feeling. But it is a classic in clothing and decoration.

The beige color is totally natural, but achieving that hue is possible because it is basically the result of mixing brown and yellow tones. Dark beige is achieved from toasted ocher mixed to a lesser extent with yellow.
For the lighter shade, white intervenes, adding a luminous element to the hue. As brown or chestnut is involved in its preparation, it must first be worked with green and red to later lighten with yellow.
