Unsubscribing from Badoo is easier than you think; In just a few steps you can delete your account from the social network of contacts. Badoo is a social network designed to meet potential partners and make friends over the Internet. It was founded by Russian businessman Andrey Andreey in 2006.
Unlike other dating sites, such as Meetic or Match, Badoo is free in most of its tools; however, it does not give complete assurance that the person you are talking to is who they say they are, nor that their photos are their own.
How to unsubscribe from Badoo?
From your computer
To unsubscribe from Badoo from your computer you must first open the browser you usually use, go to the search bar, type "Badoo" and press ENTER.
Doing so will load the Badoo page for you. There you must enter your account with your email, phone and password, or through Facebook.
In the case that you do it through your phone or email and password, click on the "enter" button after you enter the data.
By doing so you will enter the main page of your profile. There you must click on the gear icon that is in the upper right corner, so that you can enter the profile settings.
By clicking you will see all the information regarding your profile
Here you will see data such as:
- Your name to display on the social network.
- Your date of birth.
- Your gender.
- The email associated with your account.
- Password (which will come out with asterisks, as a consequence of the encryption of the page for security measures, but you can edit it).
- Verifications, in case you have made them (additional security measures that you grant to your Badoo account). For example, here you can see the verification options with your phone number or with your Facebook account.
If you scroll down with the browser's scroll bar, you can also observe and edit the configuration of:
- Notifications.
- The privacy of your account.
- Invisible mode (used to further filter who can see your profile, through features such as, for example, going unnoticed when visiting other people's profiles).
- The language of your account.
- Access to your private photos by other users.
- Configuration of verified profiles (an option so that you can only receive messages from other users who have also verified their account).
- Payment settings (since you can improve your account by becoming a Premium user; thus, more people will be able to see your account).
At the end you will see a button that says "Delete account". You must click there.
Doing so will open a window, where you must choose "Delete account". Then press continue.
You will get a window in which you must explain the reason why you want to delete your account. Once you choose the reason, press continue.
In the next window you must enter your password and the verification characters. Then press "Delete your account".
If you don't understand the characters, press "Try other characters" to get other characters that you can understand.
Ready! You have successfully canceled your Badoo account through the computer. Pressing close will redirect you to the main Badoo page.
From cell phone / mobile phone
To cancel your Badoo account from your mobile phone, you must enter the application and follow the following steps:
1- Click on your profile.
2- Press the gear that appears in the upper right corner of the screen.
3- Select "Account".
4- In "Accounts" you must go to the end, where it says "Delete account", and click.
5- Select “Delete account” and then press the continue button.
6- You must select the reason why you want to cancel your account and press the "Delete account" button.
7- The account will be closed. You will see the main Badoo window and a message indicating that your account has been deleted.
Frequent doubts
- Can I recover my account once it has been deleted?
Yes. Badoo keeps a backup of all your data in case you decide to reopen your account using the same email, phone or Facebook account. You just have to bear in mind that, to recover it with all the information that you had stored there, you have a period of 30 days.
- When I unsubscribe, will all my data be deleted from the social network?
Even if you have unsubscribed from Badoo, your comments or emails may continue to appear, since Badoo has a clause in their contract (which you accept at the time of registration) where you give them the right to decide whether or not to keep your published content. so you cancel your account.
- Is there another way to cancel my account?
In case you want to delete it without following the steps described above, just stop opening your account for 3 continuous months; Badoo deactivates and deletes the account automatically.
