The hydraulic press is a machine capable of using a large minor force. It is guided by Pascal's principle.
This press is normally used in various industries such as the automotive and is the most used in the world for more than 30 years due to its efficiency and speed to carry out the work.
This instrument is very similar to the lever, since both generate a force greater than that exerted, but reduce the length and speed of the displacement traveled.
It is a very useful tool in heavy and complicated engineering jobs.
Hydraulic press features
The hydraulic press consists mainly of communicating vessels. These cups are driven by several pistons, which through smaller forces allow the instrument to generate a much greater force than the initial one.
As the name implies, the hydraulic press employs water pistons (hydraulic pistons).
It is extremely important to keep the hydraulic presses in optimum condition and check if the hoses are in good condition to avoid any type of accident. Their maintenance is very important.
An advantage of this tool apart from the force generated is that it is very safe. Also, the noise it makes is minimal compared to other types of presses.
On the other hand, we can find several disadvantages, one of them is the fact that they are not as fast as a mechanical press could be.

The hydraulic press and Pascal's studies
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) was a French physicist, mathematician, and writer whose contributions to science were of great renown and weight.
Thanks to his scientific studies in the world of physics, Pascal's Law was born. It is summarized with the statement that any pressure exerted towards a liquid or fluid will spread uniformly over the entire substance.
A clear example of Pascal's principle can be seen using hydraulic presses. In them, a lesser force is exerted on some water pistons to generate a greater force.
Applications
Hydraulic presses can be very useful especially in companies where heavy jobs are carried out, such as in the automotive industry or the aeronautical industry, because they allow the mass production of any product through this process.
This tool not only serves in the process of assembling parts, it also works for the extraction of the same quite easily.
As far as the automotive industries are concerned, hydraulic presses are specifically used to assemble shock absorbers, to form diaphragms or to join brakes.
We can also find this force tool in the food industry, in the creation of ceramics, in the construction of airplanes and even in the creation of military weapons.
