The shield of San Luis de Potosí is the symbolic representation of this beautiful Mexican state. As with various shields of Mexican states, that of San Luis Potosí has a history that dates back to the times of the "European inquisition" when the conquerors and the native inhabitants of the territory began a "cultural exchange."
It was thanks to King Saint Louis IX King of France who granted the shield to the state and it remains today.
