The coat of arms of Coahuila was adopted by this entity in 1942, after an initiative by Vito Alessio Robles, generated the implementation of this coat of arms.

Meaning

A lion that stands on its two hind legs rests on a white column.

In the upper right barracks, there is a rampant lion. This rests on a column that is surrounded by a banner with the words Plus Ultra.
