The activities / games for elementary physical education contribute to the best physical and mental development of children in this school stage.
After 6 years of age, children's cognitive development is characterized by the ability to understand transformations, groups of friends are defined, and leadership emerges.
Growth and evolution during the primary stage allow the child to adopt prosocial behaviors based on altruism and understand the meaning of norms in society.

5 physical education activities / games for elementary school
1. The blind seeker
This game aims to improve the reaction speed of the child. For its execution, a ball and a handkerchief per group are required.
The children are divided into groups of 5 members, of which one will be blindfolded.
The game begins when a ball is thrown in a defined space. Then, the members of each group will guide their “blind” partner to find the ball.
2. Save yourself as you can
The purpose of this activity is to develop the child's general dynamic coordination and temporal spatial perception.
The game begins by painting a circle on the ground about 15 meters in diameter. 2 groups of children are formed, one of which will be placed inside the circle.
The group of children outside the circle will take turns throwing with the intention of touching one of those inside the circle, who will move to avoid being hit.
Each child who is touched with the ball must leave the game until only one is left, who will be the winner.
Later, the groups will switch roles and the mechanics will be repeated.
3. Spoon race
It is a game that improves balance and agility. For its execution, groups of children are formed, which will be arranged in a starting line.
Each member will make a race with their hands placed behind their back, to the set finish line, holding in their mouth a spoon on which an egg is placed.
Those runners who finish the race without dropping the egg accumulate a point in favor of their team.
4. Get on the boat
The purpose of this game is to develop children's jumping and motor skills. Several benches are arranged around the playing area.
Among the group of children, 4 are chosen, who will act as the pursuers. These will have the mission to touch the companions who have not jumped to the banks.
The child who manages to be hit by a pursuer will change roles with this and they will be eliminated to the extent that they are touched three times during the game.
5. Cute little animal
This game aims to develop self-control, autonomy and self-confidence. It consists in that once the children are seated around a large circle, one of them is placed in the middle.
Progressively, each partner will approach him, caress him and say: “you are my cute little animal”, so that he can make his partner laugh.
The child who fails to make the colleague at the center laugh will replace him and each participant whose role change occurs for the third time will be eliminated.
