The exhibition script or better known as expository script is a document in which the information that is planned to be transmitted during an oral presentation is structured. It aims to inform and spread knowledge. It is used in class presentations, oral exams, debates, political rallies, speeches, among others.
It is in the school stage when one is most in contact with the exhibitions, which are intended to transmit information and explain new topics. The exhibition script is characterized by containing explicit information on a particular topic and seeks to increase the knowledge of the listener to whom it is directed.
This type of script is a tool that gives us the opportunity to describe the elements of which the exhibition consists, and the relationship between them. It can be said that the exhibition script is the backbone of the exhibition to be presented.
Structure
The expository script is usually a descriptive text, which must include the main ideas, the objective and must be coherent. It must have a specific structure, which should not vary, since it is designed so that at the end of the presentation, the reader can understand an idea clearly.
That is, the presentation script must follow an order and have an introduction, development and an ending. The introduction introduces the topic to be covered and it is the time to capture the attention and awaken the interest of the public.
The development part delves into the subject and is where ideas are organized. The conclusion seeks to finalize the topic and summarize the aspects discussed.
