The flora and fauna of Guanajuato is very rich thanks to the great biodiversity that this Mexican state has, since it has a variety of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
Three well-defined climatic zones are distinguished in the state. In the highlands there is a semi-dry climate, in the middle and upper parts of the mountains there is a temperate climate, and in the valley areas the semi-warm one stands out.
