The Scapular
One of the films that brought fame and recognition to Alicia Bonet, who already by those years had experience in theater and small roles.
In it, she played the role of Rosario, a young woman who falls in love with Pedro, one of the wearers of the scapular. Apparently, the scapular has powers to safeguard the life of anyone who claims to be its rightful owner.
Thus, it has been passed from generation to generation for years. It also has a sinister power that is put to the test in the film, thanks to special effects from the golden age of Mexican cinema.
Ruby

Even the wind is afraid
Another masterful rendition of Alicia Bonet was in Hasta el viento is afraid, a 1968 film directed by Carlos Enrique Taboada that tells the story of some young women who live in a female boarding school where strange events are happening.
Alicia plays Claudia, the leader of a group of friends who begin to see and feel hidden and evil entities within the boarding school. All the other girls have gone on vacation, but they are punished and have to stay at boarding school without being able to enjoy their vacation and that is where it all begins.
In 2007 a new version of this tape was produced. Today the film is considered one of the classics of Mexican horror cinema.
Operation Carambola
In this movie, a fake security agent hires Capulina as his assistant to prepare for the carom operation. However, Capulina discovers that this is a criminal and decides to end the organization.
In this production, Alicia Bonet performs nothing more and nothing less than with the famous actor Gaspar Henaine "Capulina" and with the emblematic Roberto Gómez Bolaños "Chespirito".

Alicia Bonet played mother Maria in this soap opera. Her character was the mother superior of the boarding school where the protagonist's sister, Lorena Herrera, had to go to study.

At present, Alicia Bonet is outside the screens and the cinema. Apparently, the death of her son Gabriel plunged her into a deep sadness that prevented her from returning to work. Today it is difficult to access her to interview her or find out about her personal life.
