Some of the main tourist attractions in Nuevo León (Mexico) are the Grutas de García Park, the Cola de Caballo Ecotourism Park or the Bustamante Caves.
The state of Nuevo León is located in the northeast of Mexico, it became a state in the early 1800s and currently its capital is Monterrey.
It is led by a governor who is elected every six years, and its legislators, who are elected every three years.
The state is divided into municipalities, which in turn are made up of cities, towns or groups of villages. Its total population is more than 4 million inhabitants, representing 4% of the population of Mexico.
Between the beginning of June and the end of November, it is considered a hurricane season in the entire Nuevo León area, causing severe damage throughout the place, while fulfilling the function of humidifying the area, providing a large amount of valuable water for the crops.

Tourist attractions in Nuevo León
The tourist sites of Nuevo León visited most frequently in recent years are the Grutas de García and the Cola de Caballo Ecotourism Park.
Other places of general interest that have seen an increase in tourism are the Bustamante Grottoes, the Obispado Asta Bandera Viewpoint and the El Salto Recreational Park in Zaragoza.
Grutas de García Park
In this park we find underground caverns located below the Cerro del Fraile, whose height is 1080 meters.
Inside the caverns we will find 16 rooms full of stalactites, stalagmites and an underground lake, the formation of which has taken place for more than 50 million years.
This park is very popular, with most visits occurring on the weekend.
Cola de Caballo Ecotourism Park
This park is located less than an hour from the city of Monterrey. The best time to visit this place is after it has rained.
This is because the amount of water that falls from the waterfall that we will find here will increase after the rain, making the view much more attractive. The height of the waterfall is 25 meters.
Bustamante caves
Located in northern Mexico, the Bustamante Grottoes are full of local legends about bandits and revolutionaries who took refuge in them.
Its entrance is very small and can be reached by climbing a narrow and stepped path. The route of the routes is around 250 meters and their width is 3 meters.
Viewpoint of the Bishopric Asta Bandera
In the Cerro del Obispado is located the Asta Bandera Viewpoint with a wonderful view at more than 700 meters high.
A gigantic flag of Mexico, 100 meters high, shines in the place. From this place you can glimpse the Huasteca Canyon, the Cerro de la Silla and the Sierra Madre Oriental, among other things.
It is located just 10 minutes from downtown Monterrey.
El Salto Recreational Park in Zaragoza
The park is located south of Nuevo León, 3km from Zaragoza. Surrounded by extensive vegetation, we can find there some magnificent waterfalls, the main one being "The veil of the bride."
It is a very peaceful place surrounded by nature, where you can camp and do family or couple activities.
