The past tense is one of the verb tenses used in Spanish to refer to events that occurred in the past. It is used for actions that have already been completed; This means that actions in the past have a certain beginning and end.
For example: Class started at one and ended at two.
It should be noted that it is not necessary that the sentences contain the beginning and end of the activity explicitly.
For example: The class lasted one hour.
In this case, it is inferred that the action started and ended.
